Laura is a dynamic artist full of colourful energy and ideas. She studied illustration at Kingston University and graduated in 2005. Laura lives in East London with her cat. Her favourite things include penguins wearing jumpers, badgers on bikes and tea-drinking bears. She's also especially fond of knitting, rainbow shoes and ice cream.
Laura began her relationship with Bright as an intern and she has grown tremendously, evolving into designer, studio manager, freelance illustrator and is now on the cusp of becoming the next big picture book talent at Bright. Laura is a spectacular artist who is committed to her love of illustrating and creating stories. Laura also creates community wherever she goes. She is incredibly caring and organises gallery nights such as the 100 Cats exhibition in London featuring 35 fellow illustrators.
Laura is making quite a name for herself in the fine art world as well. You can find her work at the Whistlefish gallery. She is also rising as a key property in the art licensing sector where she was selected to be the cover image for the 2014 licensing source book and John Lewis is now featuring her work as well.
Laura is a budding talent that is on the cusp of bursting into full bloom.
